2026 Municipal Elections

Ulen’s next municipal election will be held this November. If you have an interest in serving your community, we encourage you to learn more about the roles available and the simple process for becoming a candidate.
Our Non-Partisan Town Structure
Like many small towns in Indiana, the Town of Ulen operates with a non- partisan municipal structure. This approach keeps the focus on local governance, common values, inclusive community service, and practical decision making. Indiana law allows municipal candidates to file either as independents or as a member of a party. Historically, most Ulen candidates have chosen to file as independents, which allows our elections to function without party primaries or party labels on the ballot. Regardless of how you file, running for a municipal office in Ulen does not require you to change political affiliation, restrict you from participating in primaries, or affect how you vote in state or federal elections. Ulen welcomes residents of all political backgrounds who wish to serve their community.
